Today was Riley's turn to pick our Family Day activity and she chose Iao Valley. It was a beautiful day and the kids had a blast running around! Levi slept the entire time. We'll definitely do this again!

Lucas turned TWO!!! As a treat, I brought out a bag of jelly beans and asked him how old he was. He said, "NINE!!!" First Easter on Maui. We did an egg hunt with our neighborhood, one at our church and a final one with the Asato clan at great grandma's house. Riley said that Easter should be every Sunday because we celebrate Jesus is Alive every Sunday. A few minutes later she said we should probably celebrate it everyday and not just on Sunday's. Celebration = Egg Hunt = lots and lots of candy.

A friend invited me to do a Stand Up Paddle from Paia Bay to Kanaha Beach. Never did this before on open water but thought I'd give it a try. Nana arrived the day Levi was born and Papa joined her a week later. They stayed for 3 weeks on Maui and we went to the beach, park, shopping, whale watching, played games and hung around the house. We found a great beach that is just 10min from our house with no other people in sight. Ryan and I have enjoyed walking the beach together and the kids love building castles and running up and down the sand hills. Can't believe it's February and we can enjoy 80 degree temps!!

This Fall, we attempted our first Trunk or Treat at Grace Bible Church. Over 800 people attended and 22 came back to church as first time guests the next Sunday! Many families decorated their car trunks and passed out candy. We had games, food, a fun maze and tons of fun for the keikis!The night before Halloween, we carved pumpkins with our Asato clan.

To celebrate Riley's 5th birthday, we did a family getaway to Splash Universe, an indoor water park. In the dead of winter, it was a fun idea to go "swimming" while it was snowing outside. Ryan took on the challenge of laying a new floor in our kitchen so our lives have been consumed with this "fun" project. The morning after Christmas, we picked up Mom Husted at 5am and blazed through the Michigan snow toward sunny FLORIDA!!!
