Life around the Island

Our Christmas decorations are up! 6 stockings & our Christmas tree!! The girls slept under the tree lights last night and we read Christmas stories together.
As I type, Ryan is working in the garage on a swing/slide set for the girls. Our friend, Wade Fukumoto is heading up the project and has been a HUGE help! Hopefully the girls will be able to play today!
Riley & Malia got their faces painted at our Annual Stomp Out Hunger Event that raised $47,000 to feed the hungry on Maui!!
This is our 1st babysitter on Maui...Jordyn Vierra. The kids LOVE her and she's a HUGE help to me!!! So grateful for her.
Malia and Luc coloring...
The kids miss their Nana and Papa in Michigan!
My girlfriend from High School, Stefanie Lee, visited with her little girl Cali. Stef and I traveled to China together and lived in the dorms at the University of Hawaii one summer 15 years ago. So nice to reunite. She's a pilot for the Air Guard and has a precious little girl. So cute!
Breathtaking sunrise seen from our front porch one early morning...
Celebrating Grandpa's 61st birthday!
Dad & our Grace Bible Church Pastors Network Team
Our staff team on Maui!
Ryan and I were blessed with tickets to the Maui Invitational to watch our Spartans!!! What an incredible event to see everything up close and to be a part of all the action!!
Riley and Malia went to lunch with Grandpa and Grandma after church one Sunday. They took our guest speaker from the Philippines to our newly opened yogurt shop!
The kids had a half day of school so we went to the Bounce House!

Riley LOVES school

Riley is thriving in school....learning a ton, making lots of friends and loves it! She's the tallest girl in her class and tells us stories everyday of all the neat things she learned. Here they are at the firestation...
This was their field trip to the Nature Center in Iao Valley where they crawled through lava tubes and hiked through the lush forest.
This week, they performed their Thanksgiving program as Pilgrims and Indians.
So cute!
Our two little pilgrims!!

Harvest Parties

This Fall, we attempted our first Trunk or Treat at Grace Bible Church. Over 800 people attended and 22 came back to church as first time guests the next Sunday! Many families decorated their car trunks and passed out candy. We had games, food, a fun maze and tons of fun for the keikis!
The night before Halloween, we carved pumpkins with our Asato clan.
