Here's the situation.....we have 8 little cousins (2 not pictured) who LOVE being active! Ryan decided to use his Christmas break to design and build a play area for everyone to enjoy!!
He started by building a playset with our friend Wade Fukumoto.
Doesn't it look cool!!??? Fits perfectly on one side of the 2nd level of our backyard.
The next step was clearing out the other side of our second level. Ryan pulled up weeds, tilled the soil and prepped the ground for cement.
Then we waited patiently for the cement truck to come...
The truck arrived and piped cement through a HUGE hose to the backyard.
This is the start of Ryan's very own basketball court.
The whole family came over to see all the action.
We couldn't find a hoop locally so we ordered one from the mainland.
The day it came, Ryan, grandpa Asato & Jon put it together. It was a 3 man job!
Ryan helped Lucas shoot the first hoop!
The final step was having the fence installed. Took just 2 days!!
Now the kids can PLAY, PLAY, PLAY!!
And Ryan can PLAY, PLAY, PLAY!!
It's a blessing to stay home and play together as a family!!
